The Grand Symphony

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower. And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent itIsaiah 55:10-11

Everything God designed has a purpose, and He will ensure it fulfills that purpose. Whether it is rain or snow, the sun or the moon – each thing will ultimately accomplish what He desires. It all comes together in a beautiful song that resonates within the soul. It is the overarching symphony of God’s ultimate plan.

Life is a grand and sweeping symphony. Sometimes we catch a strain of the deep music. It echoes in our hearts at times we least expect it, filling us with unspeakable wonder. At the same time, with such a grand symphony, the ‘instrument’ you are playing might seem small. You might even feel that if you weren’t playing that part, the difference wouldn’t even be noticed.

However, the Grand Conductor has chosen you – just you – to play your part at this time. There would be a loss to the overall symphony if you chose to put down your ‘instrument’. Play your part with devotion. You have been called to take part in an awesome masterpiece. One day, you will hear the whole symphony from beginning to end, and you will know that your part was essential.

Like a snowflake, you are unique. No two snowflakes that have fallen from the sky have ever been exactly the same. No one is exactly the same as you – created at this time to play the part for which God has created you. When you live your purpose, when you play that part, you will help Him accomplish His ultimate symphony.
