As we approach the final month of 2014 and reflect on the year, thoughts of what shoulda, coulda and woulda happened ‘if only’ we had ‘done this or that’ during the year may flood our minds.
There may be many reasons or should I say excuses we could give as to why things have not gone to plan, why we did not start that project, why that goal we set did not go to plan. The one thing for certain is that in all our deliberations on why things did not go to plan; the one common factor that comes up every time is ‘us’. We cannot detach ourselves from that fact.
Some of us have wanted more in 2014 but have been unwilling to grow or become more. We may have wanted so much but been prepared to give so little.
This is also sometimes the case with God we want so much from Him, but are only prepared to give Him so little.
2015 is approaching fast. A New Year offers so much promise, not least the opportunity for a fresh mental start and a new beginning; leaving 2014 and thinking of things anew in 2015.
